Kareem Abdul-Jabbar previously held the all-time scoring record with 38,387 points on his career and his record stood for 34 years following his retirement.
Since that night, LeBron has long surpassed Kareem, becoming the only player in NBA history with 40,000 career points and currently has 41,599 regular season points and 8,162 playoff points giving him a total of 49,761 points on his career.
